In April and May, the Zelzatetunnel on the E34 highway in Belgium will be closed for two weekends. The tunnel will be completely closed in both directions from April 24 (Friday), 9 p.m., until April 27 (Monday), 5 a.m., and from May 8 (Friday), 9:00 p.m., until May 11 (Monday), 5:00 a.m.
These traffic restrictions are being implemented due to roadwork in the tunnel. During the tunnel closure, local traffic will be diverted to the R4 ring road, and intercity traffic to the E17 and E40 highways. On the nights of April 20–21 and April 21–22, the tunnel will be closed in the Bruges/Knokke direction from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
