During this summer season, traffic restrictions for heavy vehicles will be in effect on weekends in the surrounding areas of Berlin. The A113 and A115 roads have now been added to the newly approved list of summer traffic restrictions.
The traffic restrictions will apply every Saturday from July 1 through August 31, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The restrictions apply to heavy vehicles weighing more than 7.5 metric tons. The new changes will affect the following areas:
The section of the A113 from the Schönefeld intersection to Neukölln, heading toward Hamburg.
The section of the A115 from the Zehlendorf interchange to Funkturm.
These restrictions are being introduced due to traffic congestion in Berlin and the closure of a key section of the A100 highway. This is one of the region’s most popular roads, and the A113 has a direct connection to the A100.
