Traffic restrictions in Rotterdam

This week, drivers in Rotterdam will face significant traffic restrictions. The Van Brienenoord Bridge on the A16 motorway will be closed twice due to reconstruction works.

The Van Brienenoord Bridge will be closed on the following dates:

  • From September 15, 10:00 PM until September 16, 5:00 AM
  • From September 16, 10:00 PM until September 17, 5:00 AM

During the closures, drivers will not be able to use the bridge at all. Due to these changes, drivers will need to use the A20, A4, and A15 motorways.

For those traveling from The Hague to Ridderkerk, it is important to note that exits 26 and 25 will be closed starting at 9:00 PM. Entrances will remain open. Exit 24 will be closed from 10:00 PM, while entrance 24 will close from 1:00 AM.

For those traveling in the opposite direction, from Ridderkerk to The Hague, entrances 25 and 26 will remain open, but exit 25 will be closed from 10:00 PM. Entrance 24 will be closed from 9:00 PM, and exit 24 from 10:00 PM.
